Allowing challenges, hands-on learning, and frustration to ride shotgun, the group is progressing nicely. All three systems are scheduled to be up and operating before end of Tuesday… and you know what that means? You guessed it, plenum, distribution boxes, flex, and registers will be next in line… how exciting this is becoming!

HVACTA: New System Installation – Getting Close

Though there were a couple re-do’s over the past couple days, striving for excellence will never be marginalized. After all, if our group was installing at your place, perfection is what you would expect also.

Photos displayed are all action from today… so you get an inside depiction of what HVACTA does and expects. So far, only a couple minor cuts (but those are to be expected) while ALL are well on their way to a new career.

Second day is another day of progress through frustration, challenge, and opportunity. Our philosophy being without struggle, there is no growth. Throughout the day, many became frustrated but ALL progressed… and that is what we are all about.

Keep in on this journey as the group builds, tests, troubleshoots, and performs preventive maintenances on the system they are installing… it’s gonna rock!

This past Friday evening many gathered to celebrate the completion of our six-week HVAC workshop. If you followed our posts and progress over the past six weeks, no doubt you recognize the hard work and dedication everyone put in.

After six weeks of hard work, dedication, and commitment, yesterday we completed the Universal 608 Certification Exam.

HVACTA: Universal 608 Certification Exam Time

For those no quite in the loop, here’s what the EPA Universal 608 covers:

Requirement: It is mandated by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act for anyone handling refrigerants.
Comprehensive coverage: Unlike the Type I, II, or III certifications, the Universal certification allows a technician to work on all types of appliances, from small appliances like window units to high-pressure commercial and industrial systems.
Scope: It covers service, repair, maintenance, and disposal of equipment with refrigerants, ensuring proper handling to protect the environment.

The level of dedication to HVAC was quite impressive as most participants had perfect attendance and was always into the process. With confidence, each possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required… no doubt success will follow each along their personal and professional path.

Truth is, either you love HVAC or you don’t. For those who enjoy working outside (oftentimes in the most challenging weather conditions), doing something different every day, identifying problems and then resolving problems, HVAC may be your career choice.
