Two weeks ago, the team completed three full system swaps. Nothing like a hands-on approach. Today I noticed all three systems had issues. Wonder if late last night something (or someone) got into each condenser and air handler and messed things up?

Time to Troubleshoot

Given three residents are not cooling adequately, each participant received a work order to diagnose AND resolve the lack of cooling comfort. Not to worry, I had Chris visit each system, modify, and present challenges for the day… which he will continue to do as the days pass.

Last week was chilly so our outside hands-on time was somewhat limited. Needless to say, we are more than taking care of business thus far this week.

Executive Director Jessica Corton, representing Entryway spent time with our participants this morning. Entryway has been playing an active role with 2^nd Chance University for a couple years now, helping folks obtain a path for personal and professional success.

Entryway is a national nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that transitions individuals and families at risk of or experiencing homelessness to economic self-sufficiency by providing career training, full-time employment and housing opportunities in partnership with the real estate industry.

Early morning all continued preparing for the Universal 608 Certification exam (which we will be taking on November 21^st). After an hour of going over Type II, time was dedicated to wiring. This afternoon was all about getting down with system swaps.

Today we are performing preventive maintenance on an Air BnB neighbor. We were able to sneak a group photo, see if you recognize anyone… except for the old man at the end of the line.

Package Unit Preventive Maintenance

Though today we worked side by side with fellow participants, tomorrow we will begin conducting a round robin of preventive maintenance jobs. Overall, each will perform a pm on two package units, three mini-splits, two straight cool split systems, and one heat pump split system.
