Danny –Ceremony Opening Remarks & Introduce Instructor Andrew

That way we can actually hear what people are saying. Hello. Hello. Okay, cool.

Again, my name is Danny, and it’s a pleasure that y’all are here, and I do expect a few more people to be here.

HVAC Academy Second Chance University was born out of a vision from Elaine, myself, Andrew. Andrew’s been in the business for a long time. So is Robert. But we’re going to talk a little bit about them in a second.

One of the things we do here is we work hard. As y’all could imagine, we work hard. We work in the sun. And there’s times that I could see that many people were extremely red and ready to take a break, an extended break.

So, but there was a few people who, who didn’t, and, and all of them, every one of them did very well, and I was very proud of them.

But that’s what we do. The six weeks, and in six weeks we learned so much, and that’s such a gift for everybody involved.

I do have several already who have job offers. Yay. And that’s a good thing.

The skills that they learn here, it’s not just HVAC. It’s about personal and professional development. I believe in that, and that’s what helps with job interviews. When you go see Mrs. Smith, it’s the customer service that encourages those residents and, and the business owners to believe in you.

We did a lot of role playing for interviewees. And that helps significantly. And so, so those of y’all who have already gone to interviews, you, you can recognize that without a doubt.

So, this here is what we’re all about.

Unfortunately, we can’t take you on a tour, but trust me when I say it’s hard work. It’s hot, and it’s a matter of growth.

One of the individuals who helped us grow not only as a company, but as, as, as individuals through HVAC is a young fellow by the name of Andrew.

Andrew’s been in the business for a bunch of years, not quite as much as Robert. And he is recognized throughout, throughout the nation and internationally does work.

He is somebody who is extremely, extremely gifted, and for those who don’t know this, but he does have a potty mouth. So, just a word of warning.

So, I want to introduce you to Andrew.

Andrew, come on up here.

I don’t have much to say. I don’t know how much your, your husbands, sons—no wives this class—you know, told you about us and how this six-week process went, but I’m sure there was some good, maybe some bad.

But the bottom line is, like Danny said, we treat this as, as close as we possibly can to a job. And doing what we do is not like being an accountant or, you know, working at a desk or a dental office.

You know, we’re outside. It’s a bunch of guys, sometimes some girls. And look, you know, we have fun. We work hard. We make fun of each other. It, it’s, it’s, it’s kind of how it goes.

But starting off this, it seemed rough for a lot. I know the first week is always tough. It was expressed in our last little combo about how tough it was.

But then after that, it seemed like, you know, everybody’s kind of eyes started opening about third or fourth week.

The hope is, is you can leave here with, with a good head on your shoulders. I think everybody kind of has.

Again, we’re not like every, every school, so to speak. But I don’t think there’s one of you that didn’t—is not going to leave here with, with the ability to obtain a job and the tools to do it.

So, congrats to every one of you guys. You worked hard.
