One of the awesome things about HVAC Technical Academy are the mentors. Together, Andrew and Robert offer over 60 years of HVAC experience. To each participant’s advantage, their knowledge and practical applications lift everyone.
Throughout the following weeks all will have the opportunity to build distribution boxes, run flex, attach registers, perform troubleshooting, and get down with multiple preventive maintenances. Naturally working on gauges happens daily.
Nothing like taking an HVAC learning break when pizza is involved. Right now all are setting up a new system swap on a full belly.
By the end of the first week each participant gets down and dirty in the field. This week we went over safety issues, ladder and equipment, as well as launching our knowledge in the field. All ten excelled in a homework project, sharing their insight to all in the workshop not only in the class but also sharing knowledge in the field.
The groups are in the collar and installation phase. So far, no issues as all know what they are doing. Can’t wait to see the finished product and feel the cool!
Though I don’t believe we will EVER get such a great group as the previous one, I am looking forward to all our chairs being occupied.
