HVACTA: Before the Beginning

HVACTA: Before the Beginning

HVACTA: Before the Beginning Being prepared is half the challenge. As such, HVAC Technical Academy is getting loaded for the January 2025 six-week HVAC workshop.

Upon completion our goal is to have every participant Universal 608 Certified, own the tools required, have solid HVAC practical knowledge, and be psychologically ready for an HVAC career.

Tools of the HVAC Trade

The photo(s) represent HVAC tools needed for the job AND needed for our HVAC workshop. At HVAC Technical Academy, tools are supplied during the first week (or so), assigned and used by individual participants, and are part of the graduation package. In other words, Complete the workshop and the tools are yours.

We are a training facility where “Learn by Doing” defines our approach to get YOU on a career path. Background friendly, HVAC Technical Academy partnered with 2nd Chance University and to assist ALL desiring personal and professional success.

HVACTA: Package PM

HVACTA: Package PM

HVACTA: Package PMPackage units are common in Florida. As a result, HVACTA workshops include package unit diagnostics, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and component replacement.

Package Unit

The recent hurricane caused package unit damage, participants shown are focusing on complete evaluation and repair. Ultimately a defrost board will need to be replaced. Once resolved, full preventive maintenance will be performed.

From split systems to mini splits, to package units, hands are getting dirty on them all.

HVACTA Day One: Ladder and Lifting

HVACTA Day One: Ladder and Lifting

Today marks the first day for participants within HVAC Technical Academy formally begin their HVAC journey. Is there a better way to get on the road than by obtaining safety ladder climbing and motor lifting? I thought not!

Ladder and Lifting

Safety is key to success in the HVAC Industry. A simple miscue on a ladder or improper lift could end your career. Recognizing the importance of safety, day one is dedicated to proper lifting and ladder climbing techniques.

As the photos show, all participants made it to roof safely. To complicate things, each carried a 25-pound tool bag filled with tools of the trade.

Looking forward to being part of this journey.
