HVAC Training

When HVAC Training expectations do not meet reality, disappointments come to life. HVAC Technical Academy clearly defines daily, weekly, and program expectations from all parties to eliminate disappointments while enhancing your career preparation.

Program Routine

Our program begins promptly at 8:30 am. Students and faculty are expected to be in the classroom setting (and ready to begin) no later than 8:25 am. One of the goals of HVACTA is to replicate professional business settings and expectations. As employers look unkindly with tardiness, so do we.

For the initial 30 minutes of class, activities and curriculum are dedicated to life essential skills. Based upon employer surveys, interviews, and hiring practices, life skills reviewed encompass communication, attitude, professionalism, and confidence as each are key elements in a new hire and employee progression.

HVAC theory and in-class activities are practiced each day. During this time, concentration is given to interactive methods to identify parts, and issues while we resolve situations you will encounter throughout your HVAC experience. After confirming with multiple HVAC organizations, our curriculum and program gives you the knowledge for a solid start while preparing you for the EPA Universal Exam and beyond.

A fifteen-minute break is offered at approximately 9:50 am.

Hands-on is the key

From approximately 10:00 am until noon, curriculum shifts to hands-on practical applications. During the final two hours of each day students take book knowledge to the next level by actually doing! If you are afraid of getting dirty, this may not be the place for you.

Daily hands-on activities are progressive as are expectations regarding your responsibility. Over your six-week program you will build, tear-down, and troubleshoot a multitude of real-world air conditioning and heating issues. From scrapping to insulation to system installations to preventive maintenances to just about everything in between, you are at the lead.

Once completed with the six-week program, an on-site EPA Universal exam is scheduled. For those interested in NATE Certifications, we are an approved site for your exams.

In addition to the above, a certified and experienced career coach, professional resume writer, and certified employment interview professional is by your side to better prepare you for a successful transition and progression within the HVAC Industry.

Warning: if you are looking for an easy road where you can sit back as a passive passenger, think about another program to attend. Then again, if you are serious about becoming an HVAC Service Technician and not afraid of doing the work, this may be the place for you.

Give me a call if you have any questions or if you are considering entering the HVAC field or visit us at HVACTA.com.
