Intro Transcript — Danny introduces Ciara Bivens

Speaker: Danny

To put it bluntly, she knows her stuff. She did really, really well with that. And throughout the whole class—obviously not a very external, outgoing personality, as you can tell—but she’s really blossomed.

And when Mrs. Smith—all of us know Mrs. Smith—when she answers the door and sees her, great things are going to happen. She’s going to believe in you from jump, and you’re going to believe in you as well. And that’s—that’s—that’s the key. And you hold the key.

So come on up here. Accept this.

Put that up there. Very good. I just want to say thank you to my teachers—Andrew, Rob, this guy, Miss Elaine. Thank you. You know, I know you was peeking in on us the whole six weeks, even though we didn’t get to see you that much, but we seen you enough.

It was a very—very different experience for me, but I am very grateful that I did choose this program. I think that I learned a lot, and yes, I did end up getting a job before graduation—and that was all with the help of everybody here.

So I just want to say thank you—and to the guys in the class, y’all know: don’t start laughing, ’cause y’all know y’all act up all day. That’s why I’ve been laughing so much. It’s been so fun every day. I’m definitely going to miss all of y’all. Best of luck to all y’all.

To speak on behalf of Sierra. I remember how excited I was. Oh, I’m with Sierra Vivven. My name is Raven—I should have started with that. Not Mr. Raven. You point at me—I thought you’d come up. I’m sorry.

She was very excited to come here. She was talking about how serious it was, how she had to show her commitment for being accepted. Her commitment did not stop there—when she got accepted, every day she was saying she had to leave early in the morning to come here. She was coming home and studying. I barely really got a lot out of her—so you guys know I didn’t get much at home either while she was studying.

But I’m very proud of her. She would come sometimes at 5:00 to come and study, and she would say, “I’m just in the field,” or whatever the field is—I don’t know. I’m super excited that she accomplished this, and I hope that she’s super excited for herself as well. Congratulations. Thank you.
