HVACTA – CelebrationSeems like yesterday ten fantastic people allowed me to be part of their journey; and allowed me to share much of myself, even a page or two of an unpublished master novel.

The past six weeks was filled with frustration, anxiety, hard work, and personal/professional growth… and every moment became a reason to… (your time to finish the sentence).

HVACTA – Celebration

All workshops bring a unique flavor, some not so sweet, others pre sugar. I must admit, the past six weeks truly reflect why Elaine, Andrew, Robert, and myself remain committed to such a life-changing adventure.

The enclosed photo showcases Peter, for good reason. In case you are uncertain, the old fella is me, Danny.

HVACTA – Package UnitToday was a day to expand hands-on knowledge regarding package units. Taking advantage of a neighboring live system, our group performed like pros.

HVACTA – Package Unit

HVACTA is about learning the industry by doing. From package units to Mini splits to split systems, participants get their hands in the mix. Supporting a learn by doing approach, workshops delve deeply into safety, theory, and customer relations.

If you enjoy daily challenges, working with your hands, and never a dull moment, the HVAC industry may be a good fit for you.

HVACTA: Condenser TimeRecognizing the condenser in an HVAC system is the heart, participants become intimately involved with the outside system by breaking it down and rebuilding on their path to a better understanding.

Today was designed to swag components, explain each element, and test accordingly. From the condenser each will be assigned an air handler with the same guidelines to break down, diagnose, and rebuild. An excellent hands-on exercise on multiple accounts.

Today we received the results of a complete system swap. Participants get their hands and back in the chore of taking systems off the trailer. The condenser and air hander were then moved by the group to an area where recovery, component testing, part diagnostics, and scrapping are performed.

Condensers are heavy, no better way to find out how to move these around than by doing… don’t you think?
