HVACTA: Before the Beginning Being prepared is half the challenge. As such, HVAC Technical Academy is getting loaded for the January 2025 six-week HVAC workshop.

Upon completion our goal is to have every participant Universal 608 Certified, own the tools required, have solid HVAC practical knowledge, and be psychologically ready for an HVAC career.

Tools of the HVAC Trade

The photo(s) represent HVAC tools needed for the job AND needed for our HVAC workshop. At HVAC Technical Academy, tools are supplied during the first week (or so), assigned and used by individual participants, and are part of the graduation package. In other words, Complete the workshop and the tools are yours.

2025: Success Takes ACTIONDecember means a great deal of different things to a great number of people. For many, December is a month for dreams, reflection, and preparation.

2025: Now is the Time for YOU to Take ACTION

Dreams without action are simply that, dreams… Think about this for a moment as we reflect on 2024. What dreams did you disallow life? I know taking a “gosh darn it, I ‘should’ have” inventory can be emotionally taxing, but worth the exercise.

Here comes a New Year with New Dreams… fast forward twelve months from now and look at the “gosh darn it” inventory. What do you see? What are you doing NOW to prepare for 2025 dream?

As my father told me many years ago: If things don’t change, things won’t change.

HVACTA Graduation Celebration Another great six-week HVAC workshop concludes with major advances.

From knowing little to nothing, our group is fully capable of new system swaps, diagnosing/troubleshooting, brazing, performing recoveries/vacuums, preventive maintenances on split systems, heat pump systems, mini-splits, and package units.

An Impressive Group

We had a good showing at our celebration.  Family, friends, CareerSource Reps, and our team gathered to recognize the hard work all have done to accomplish a challenging goal. I am honored to have been a part of the journey and adventure over the past six weeks and look forward to seeing where each participants door opens.

Universal 608 EPA Testing After spending multiple hours preparing for the Universal 608 EPA Certification, yesterday we put our knowledge to test.

EPA Test Time

Throughout our six-week HVAC program, we typically spend 30 minutes each morning for EPA testing prep. Given the nature and importance of this exam, additional homework and study time is also part of the plan.

We will find out the results in about a week, but I feel confident all nine will pass all four parts of the exam.
