Unclogging the ClogHVAC Technical Academy go through daily troubleshooting issues and resolve daily. Tripped float switches due to a clogged drain line is one of the most common calls an HVAC Technician makes.

Clearing the Gunk

When drain lines clog, the float switch shuts the system down. The purpose is to mitigate water damage to the surrounding area. To clear the lines, technicians often will vacuum the line out and/or blow with nitrogen.

A simple resolve gets residents back into the cool… and the hero of the story: the HVAC Service Technician.

Mastic ApplicationThe importance of mastic applications is key to customer satisfaction and air flow quality. Sarah is practicing proper taping and mastic principles: HVAC Technical Academy is about doing.

Air flow and discoloration

An installation and/or plenum repair is only as good as the technician. An improper tape and mastic repair could cause air leakage and discoloration. To ensure proper tape/mastic application, technicians learn by doing… that’s what we are all about.

Learn by doing… that’s what you will expect and will receive at HVAC Technical Academy. We are currently enrolling for the January 2023 session, but you may want to hurry and apply as class size is limited.
