Hey, good morning. It’s Rhashaad Owens from HVAC Technical Academy and today I will be explaining the recovery process.
So, first thing first, you want to make sure you have all your equipment. You want your vacuum, you want your gauges, you want your you want your high pressure hose, you want a refrigerant hose, and you want an extra hose that you that’s going to connect into the cylinder R14 cylinder or whatever refrigerant you’re working with to recover.
Second, you want to make sure you have your scale on to weigh the cylinder and make sure that it’s on, of course. And when you weigh it, you want to make sure it’s zeroed out on your scale.
Power on. Wait a few seconds, of course. And you should have what’s ever remaining in this cylinder, which is Oh, cut. Oh, it’s not. Okay. So, you have 24 lb inside the cylinder. So, we have enough space to add more refrigerant to it.
Okay. So, after you weigh it, you want to remove that. You want to connect your extra hose, which is going into the vacuum from the vacuum to the cylinder, and that’s going to be located in the out port of the vacuum. You want to connect it to your vapor side because the liquid line, of course, will be more slower and the vapor helps it get up quicker.
Okay. Once you have that connected, you want to make sure double-check that your refrigerant hose is going into the in port of the vacuum, which is on that side. You want to double-check, make sure your liquid line is connected to the I mean, make sure your high-pressure side is connected to the liquid line.
Okay. Then, once that once that start turn your gauges on. Make sure everything is ready. You flip You You begin the process with a recover. And make sure make sure everything is open. Then, let’s let’s That’s the recovery process in a bubble. Yeah.
